Namaste friends! I’m back with the second look in my Diwali series. If you thought the first one was a little simple for your taste, I’ve amped things up with this one.
With golden hues, contrasting colours and flowing silhouettes, this one makes for a statement outfit. The Banarasi dupatta, for me, is the highlight of the outfit because it adds a festive and royal touch that is so characteristic of Diwali.
The basic outfit is a double-layered ethnic dress from Westside with zari work around the neck and gold booti print on the bottom layer. I’ve paired it with a contrasting, peach-pink Banarasi dupatta I picked up during a Diwali mela last year, and accessorised with kundan earrings from Meena Bazaar.
